Migracje poakcesyjne Polaków i kapital ludzki: transfer wiedzy, umiejętności, kompetencji
Izabela Grabowska , Ewa Jaźwińska
AbstractThe article discusses the impact of post-accession migration of Poles on their human capital, in light of the conducts of their occupational paths. Because predominantly Polish post-accession migrants work in destination labour markets in low-skilled jobs, usually below their formal qualifications, the impact of migration on human capital needs to be analysed beyond quantifiable variables such as. e.g. education and age only. The article analyses the impact of international migration on non-formal aspects of human capital such as tacit knowledge, skills and competences and process of transferring them back to Poland. The analysis uncovered hidden impacts of migration on skills and competences of mobile Poles. However, there are some preconditions for outcomes of such transfers to be implemented back in Poland, namely opportunity structure which means spaces to act and interact with the others, to share acquired abroad skills and competences.
