Płeć i okres życia a konflikty "praca-rodzina", zadowolenie z pracy i rodziny
Working parents (49 fathers and 51 mothers having at least one child below 19) were investigated with “Work-to-Family and Family-to-Work Conflicts Scale”, “Job Satisfaction Scale”, “Job Affect Scale” and modified versions of last two instruments allowing to measure satisfaction and mood related to family. Results showed that the intensity of conflicts, satisfaction with family and negative affects related to job and family depended on interaction between gender and period of life - in the period of middle life transition fathers experienced more intensive conflicts and lover quality of life than mothers and higher negative affect in family than fathers in early adulthood. In early adulthood work-to-family conflict was related with attitude towards job among fathers and family-to-work conflict was related with attitude towards family among mothers. Data indicated that gender modified the intensity of conflicts in the period of transition and outcomes of conflicts in the early adulthood.
Key words: gender, life periods, work-family conflicts, well-being.
