Maciej Dymkowski
Abstract
Even in the secularized West there is a distinct need for religion and faith in God. The aim of these paper is to show that religious beliefs fulfill various function and have different psychological and psychosocial roots. Particularly, at their foundation lie some cognitive peculiarities and reason in places and situations where they are absent, and going beyond an empirically cognizable reality. The knowledge on psychological determinants of religious beliefs is not incompatible with faith in God although sometimes it can make this faith difficult.Author | |||||
