I work as Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities since September 2014. My research focuses on how issues raised by the social movements become politicized, introduced into parliamentary competition and become determinants of political behaviours. On the methodological side, I am researching mixed methods aggregating preferences on the social level and parliamentary arena, including parliamentary speeches and legislative voting. I am a member of the Polish National Election Study team in 2015 and a researcher in numerous other studies covering political attitudes at the level of society and parliamentary elites. Currently, I am a Principal Investigator in two research projects: ‘Political representation in the Parliament of the Republic of Poland during the term 2015-2019’ (survey among MPs focusing on their ideological position and their perception of an idea of representation) and ‘Polarization and unanimity in Central Europe after the democratic transition - analysis of legislative voting and speeches’ aimed at creating a cross-referencing database collating parliamentary speeches and voting, and socio-political data in seven Central and Eastern European parliaments (Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Lithuania and Romania).
