Biogram

I was a visiting scholar at the Positive Psychology Center at the University of Pennsylvania between 2013-2014. I work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Sopot. I am a clinical and health psychologist. My present research interests are (1) Positive psychology in coping with chronic illness: personal growth in chronic illness, the effectiveness of positive interventions in positive growth of chronic ill patients, psychological well-being among patients with physical conditions such as multiple sclerosis, diabetes, dermatoses etc. I also validated some positive psychology measurements: PERMA Profiler, GQ-6, MLQ, TRIM, PGIS, SL-38). I created some new tools used in positive psychology measuring: trustiness, self-sacrifice, sincerity, intensity of positive emotions, love Currently I am working on the project: “Benefit Finding and Personal Growth in Chronic Illness: Theoretical Approach and Empirical Validation” supported by the Polish National Science Centre (Grant No. 2011/03/B/HS6/01117).
